En, regen- veel en hard. Maar dat maakte eigenlijk niet eens uit, we hadden een dak boven ons hoofd, al waren er geen muren. Our bedroom
After we could tear ourselves away from Hillsborough, we drove to Eungella park, except we didn’t… The wrong turn off brought us to Mackay shopping mall, where we wallowed in K-Mart, and Woollies, the children saw some new skirts, and a huge pet store with fish and bearded dragons (apart from puppies and kittens)
The showers- in the middle of the rainforest- and hot, as the water is heated with a woodfire...After satisfying our hidden consumer we went on to Finch Hatton Gorge, where we happily adapted to the other side of life; a wooden hut, with three mattresses for the five of us, and no electricity, just gas and kerosene lamps. Also, it rained- long and hard. But that didn’t really matter, as we had a roof over our heads, albeit no walls, but we stayed dry.
PLaying games! First time, this trip
