When even my handsome brother out-law starts complaining, I have to start writing in English again, I wouldn't want him to get bored during breaks, and, apparently Caspar is a lousy translator. (shame on you!)
Friday was my first day alone- completely alone. So, I did some shopping (again!) and then whipped my computer out, to do some writing. (What a long time ago...)
As I am a stay-at home mum now, after I picked up the kids, we had tea, swam in the pool, barbequed when Art came home and... does it sound boring allready? Life does till very much feel like a holiday in a very luxurious hotel.
Saturday we planned to have a quiet day, but there was one thing on the agenda; looking at a snake. Tjitske really does want a snake, for a long time and this week I saw an advertisement from someone, here in Cockatoo. The guy was very honest about it; not a snake for a ten year old, with younger sisters. Poor Tjits, as soon as we asked her if she wanted a snake for her birthday she has folded her clothes, read stories to the girls, put her plates in the dishwasher etc etc. The perfect daughter in short, and she deserves something in return. She understands that this is not the right thing to do, but is very dissapointed.
At home, she looks at the internet for other snakes, while Art constructs our bed, which suddenly arrived. The girls are exploring our garden and Diuwke discovers that riding a bike on grass down a hill, is not a good idea. She looses some skin, but the damage is minor. (she went head over heels, but right before she would have hit the fence) An hour later though, she goes upside down again, over the edge of the trampoline, and this time sprains her ankle. Poor kid.
Barbeque again, poor us.
